Welcome to the Southwest Saskatchewan Hockey League (SSHL)
The SSHL is a league that was formed on Sept. 18, 2004. In 2008-9 the league included divisions from Atom (10 teams), Pee Wee (9 male, 2 female teams), Bantam (8 male,6 female teams) and Midget (9 teams). The members of the League include Cabri, Fox Valley, Frontier, Glentworth, Gravelbourg, Gull Lake, Herbert, Hodgeville, Kincaid, Maple Creek, Shaunavon, Limerick, Elrose, Leader, Caronport, Kindersley, Assiniboia, Central Butte,Beechy, Rosetown and Swift Current.
This year the executive which includes a President, 2 Vice-Presidents, a Secretary/treasurer & 5 Commissioners; involving most of the communities in the league, will be run from the Maple Creek Minor Hockey Association. Together, with input from all the Associations, a strong Constitution, Rules and Regulations and Bylaws is in place to govern the League.
There is an Annual General Meeting held every spring and 2 fall meetings to finalize the teams and schedule the League.
We look forward to a successful year of hockey, sportsmanship and fun.
